29 MayMy Mom and Dad, Ruby, and I drove out to beautiful Hilltop Farm today to spend some time with Elise. Ruby loved frolicking (there is really no other word for it) in the fields, seeing the horses, and of course spending time with her Auntie, who is exceptionally good at multi-tasking.
Memorial Day
28 MayWe had a very low-key Memorial Day, relaxing at home with family. My sister and brother-in-law and their kids came for the weekend, so of course Ruby had a wonderful time with her cousins.
I do always like to take some time on this day to remember our fallen heroes, who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

27 MayWe walked down and enjoyed some delicious frozen custard at The Dairy Godmother this afternoon, which happens to be where President Obama likes to take Malia and Sasha for a treat.

26 MayRuby had a great time at her friend Charlotte’s third birthday party today. She especially loved playing with the water balloons (it was hot!) and eating cupcakes.

24 MayThree years ago today I married the man of my dreams, and life has only gotten sweeter since then. Feeling very blessed for all the love we have.
For our anniversary I got a bike trailer so we can start biking as a family, and this evening after work Matty got a helmet for Ruby. She loves it!

23 MayI made a new friend today. At the dog park. The whole thing was delightfully unexpected and made me feel like I was five years old again, in the best way possible.
We also had our friends Mike and Jen over for dinner, which was fun and full of great conversation.
Here is Ruby at our favorite time of day, waiting for Daddy to come home.

22 MayWe had a lovely dinner with Elise in Baltimore tonight. On our way home we were listening to the radio and “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars came on. This song always makes me cry now because the lyrics are just perfect for our sweet Ruby:
