Loudmouth Mommy

We had a great time at the Columbus Zoo today with Tio David and his awesome girlfriend Natalie.

We just landed in Ohio for Matty’s cousin Kim’s wedding weekend. To get here we took a bus to the metro to the airport. Ruby was a trooper even though we didn’t make it to our hotel until three hours past her bedtime. She did pass out on my lap for the second half of the hour-long flight–she was just too sleepy!

Ruby and I drove back home today and will be flying to Ohio with Matty tomorrow for his cousin Kim’s wedding. We had a great visit in VA Beach and I think that Ruby is going to miss her new friend Lily.

I had a wonderful time watching my friend Cynthia’s beautiful baby Lily today (with some help from my family, including my niece Megan). I was a little nervous about how Ruby would act with me giving so much attention to another baby but she was so sweet, and especially liked giving Lily kisses.

Ruby got to spend some more quality time with her cousins today. First we got some milkshakes and then everybody went swimming. Please notice beautiful Jenna with her itsy bitsy bikini next to my pale princess who is covered up almost from head to toe to protect against the sun.

My parents’s cat, Cafoknap, decided to take a nap in the lamby seat today. Ruby is obsessed with animals and at first she gave Cafoknap kisses. Then she decided it was her turn and tried to push him out. Luckily she escaped unscathed.

Ruby and I drove down to VA Beach today, kicking off six weekends in a row that will be spent away from home. Why friend Cynthia will be coming to town tomorrow for work, and I will be taking care of her two month old baby, Lily. I brought a few things down for Lily to use, including Ruby’s old lamby seat. Ruby climbed in so I dug out a picture of her in it from a year ago–where has the time gone??

This evening we attended a fun party at Rebecca and Ronny’s house for Ronny’s birthday. Megan is always so sweet with Ruby, and tonight was no exception.
