Today, from somewhere in the deep recesses of my brain, I pulled out the memory that Cabin John Park in Rockville, MD has a little train that kids can ride. Ruby loves trains and I thought that this could be a fun family outing for us. So off we went to the park on a beautiful sunny day.
Ruby took a nice long nap during the drive and when we got there her first words were “choo-choo train!” We parked and walked up the path to the little station only to discover that the train is on hiatus through the winter. Ruby was DEVASTATED.
She quickly got over her sadness and we all had fun on the playground:
While Ruby was playing a lovely Persian grandmother told me about a little train in a nearby mall, so we headed over there when we were done at the park and Ruby got her train ride.
